For the first eleven years of their lives, neighbors Lila and Gavin were inseparable best friends. They did everything together.
Until they didn’t.
Every detail of Lila’s life has been meticulously planned out since she was a child. To the point where she forgot one vital thing: to live. When she receives news that drastically alters the path of her future, she realizes she has one last chance to create memories and make the most of her summer.
Gavin, on the other hand, is known for his carefree attitude. He has lived a charmed life for almost eighteen years. He’s never short on friends or a good time, he has a supportive family, and he’s all set to go off to college and follow his dreams. The one thing he doesn’t have is the girl.
He doesn’t know why Lila pushed him away all those years ago, but when Gavin finds her summer bucket list, he’s determined to help his goody-two-shoes neighbor cross off every item and hopefully mend their friendship in the process. Even if that’s not all he wants from her.
He just hopes it’s not too late.

Guys. This is week four of July, also my birthday week, and P-T on the lovely BionicBookWorm‘s Top 5 Tuesday!
I know that the introductions to these posts keep getting more and more lame, but with moving and starting a new job it’s been a little bit crazy and I really wanted to get this out for you guys!
As always, feel free to play along!
I can’t believe I’ve made it to week three of July’s Top Five Tuesdays! This is an accomplishment, since I’m moving and changing careers. As a matter of fact, when you’re seeing this, I’ll officially be on my second day of my new job.
As always, credit for this goes to the lovely BionicBookWorm! Enjoy!
Hello everyone! I’m back for another Top 5 Tuesday, hosted by the lovely Bionic Bookworm! This time instead of doing opening lines, I’m going add a quote that I loved from the book. It’s still a challenge, because normally I love every single word that I read.
If you guys want to participate in this challenge, you can head over to Shanah’s blog and tag along for the journey! If not, sit back, relax, and enjoy another Top Five Tuesday!
I’m so excited to be back in the blogging world with enough time to post semi-regularly again. It’s been awhile, I know, but this year has been crazy and all of the books I’ve been reading have been backlist titles rather than new releases.
All of that to say, I’m here with a Top 5 Tuesday challenge that’s just that: a challenge. The lovely BionicBookworm has given us the alphabet to work with this month, meaning we have to find a book that starts with each letter of the alphabet.
Along with this challenge, I thought I would make it a little more difficult for me and treat you each to the first line of every book I choose!
So without further ado, I give you A-E!
A year ago I started this blog with a MYBF Tag, and now it’s already that time of year again.
Does anyone feel like this year is going super quick? Or is that just how the first six months of the year always tends to feel?
Either way, we’re here again, and it’s time for the Midyear Book Freak Out Tag.

If Orvos had been right about anything since Hawk had met him, it was that nothing was special about this girl.
It was glaringly obvious as Hawk studied her from across the sales floor at Spine Crackers, an aggressively hipster bookshop on the West Side of Manhattan. A place where the books and collection of coffee stood stagnant as the world turned, spinning like vinyl records that crackled on without them.
Nostalgia and the hope of a brighter future was the common denominator between people and it melted its way into the very fabric of your inner-self almost the moment you pulled the door open and stepped inside.
